midi mixer crashes constantly and task manager wont close it

so almost half the time i try to open midi mixer it crashes the second i try to interact with anything, it happens most often when i try to open the profile output dropdown but its happened when switching profiles or changing apps to control as well, the worst part is that when it crashes it somehow stays open in the background meaning i cant open a new instance of it, and when i go to task manager to force quit it, it just doesnt do anything, if i go into the details page it just says "not permitted" ive even tried using powershell and cmd to force close every open program other than windows explorer, and when i check task manager the only thing left open is midi mixer. its only fixed after a restart but even then its still a 50/50 chance pretty much whether itll crash again instantly.
i absolutly love the app and when it does work i havent had any issues and its very easy to use, but the crashing makes it basically unusable for me so i really hope i can find a fix

Have you tried uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling?
Are you on the latest version (v2.7.3)?
Is it being started manually, or from a script/task scheduler?

I think I had this issue before, but if I did it was over a year ago so I really don't remember.

Having the same issue, was infrequent at first but the past two days it's locked up a few times each

I have tried the uninstall, reboot, reinstall recs and I'm using version 2.7.3.

I have it set to start on startup, but it's just Windows, not a separate script or app.

Use this daily in my workflow, would love if someone has a fix!
