I have been pretty much using this program exclusivly with my Korg NanoKontrol2 just to make it convienient to change volume quickly, maybe trigger a couple of macros and launch a program or two.
No issues, love the software and it does exactly what I needed it to do.
I just recently came across another software Midi2LR that allows using a midi controller to control all the various pieces and parts of Adobe Lightroom. VERY helpful and helpful enough that I decided to buy a 2nd midi controller just for use with that software.
For now I am using a Behringer XTouch Mini, but I have other controllers on the way to test and pick my favorite.
At one point Midi2LR "broke" MidiMixer because it was looking for and "using" all midi devices. so my inputs were going into that softare instead of Midi Mixer on the Korg NanoKontrol 2.
That was easy to remedy, there is a configuration file in the appdata directory, and it lists all the controllers detected, and you can maually say "Don't use this device" so I blacklisted the Korg from Midi2LR and then Midi Mixer was working again without me having to close Lightroom.
But, now I have the exact same issue in reverse.
Midi2LR was broken for days, and I could not figure out why. I tried re-installing, rebooting, etc.
I finally figured it out, soon as I closed Midi Mixer, and opened Lightroom Midi2LR worked again.
So I have to assume that Midi Mixer is stealing access to the Behringer XTouch in the exact same way that was happening the other way around before.
The reason it must have worked before, is because it was the first time I ever used the new Midi Controller and Midi Mixer was running already before I plugged it in, so it neve saw that device to take control of it.
I have not seen an issue like this mentioned anywhere online or here in the forums, but it's pretty clear that this is the situation.
The problem therefore is, unlike Midi2LR that has a configuration file to blacklist a controller and prevent taking control of it, I cant find any option like that for Midi Mixer.
So is there a way to do this currently that I am missing? If not, is this something that we can impliment fairly easy?
