Hey everyone, I’ve been noticing a lot of chatter lately about people buying cars through Japan car auctions. It seems like every other post or video is about how great the deals are, or how clean and well-maintained the cars tend to be compared to local listings.
I’m curious is this just a temporary trend, or are more people genuinely switching to imports because of better value? Maybe it’s the weak yen making prices more attractive, or people are just realizing how transparent the auction system in Japan is.
I’ve even seen a few friends mentioning that it’s easier now to get reliable import services that handle everything from bidding to shipping. Has anyone here tried it personally? Was it really as smooth as people claim, or are there hidden challenges I should know about?
Would love to hear your experiences or thoughts on why these auctions are suddenly getting so much attention.
