Hi everyone, so my SRX has been acting weird for a few months now – the radio will randomly shut off while driving, the AC fan speed changes on its own, and twice I got a "service charging system" warning that disappeared after restarting. My regular mechanic tested the alternator and said it's fine, but he suspects the battery is starting to fail internally even though it still starts the car. He mentioned that newer Cadillacs are super sensitive to voltage fluctuations and a weak battery can cause all sorts of electronic gremlins that look like module failures. I've been reading up and it sounds like this is pretty common, but I'm nervous about just going to any random battery shop because I don't want someone to short something or hook it up wrong. Has anyone here used those Cadillac battery replacement specialists Dubai that I've seen mentioned on a couple of older threads? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth finding a place that specifically deals with these electrical systems or if I'm overthinking it and any competent shop with a memory saver tool would be fine. Really don't want to end up with a fried BCM just because I wanted to save a few bucks. What’s been your experience?
