Plugin available here: https://github.com/Jaggernaut555/midi-mixer-spotify/releases

This plugin allows you to control Spotify's volume, mute, play/pause, next track, previous track, and liking a track. It does require some set up as described on the plugin's info page or the github's readme and has some limitations.

This plugin requires a Spotify premium account to work correctly. Spotify limits their API to premium accounts so it's unlikely that there will be a way for this to work without one. This plugin also does not replace running the Spotify app. You will still need to run the application either on your computer or some other device such as a google home.

Pretty cool! I have a Korg nanoKONTROL2 set up w/ MIDI Mixer to control the system volume, but was trying to get the transport control buttons to control Spotify. The plug in is installed and working (volume works), but none of the buttons (e.g. name: "Spotify: Play/Pause Button") don't show up as an assignment choice in MIDI Mixer when I create a button/group for the play (start) button. I do see errors in the dev console. I can't figure out if they are related to the buttons or not.

DevTools failed to load source map: Could not parse content for file:///C:/Users/User/AppData/Roaming/midi-mixer-app/plugins/ca.jaggernaut.midi-mixer.spotify/lib/index.js.map: Unexpected end of JSON input

Any ideas of what the problem could be that I don't see any button assignment options?

(both MIDI mixer and your plugin are the latest versions: v2.7.3 and v1.1.3 respectively)

Nevermind, I found that I had to use the "media:play" in the buttons section for those buttons...unrelated to the plug-in, however it's odd that there's code in the plug-in for buttons.

Works great thanks ! But I'd really love to be able to map the seeker/progress bar, do you think it's possible ?
