Plugin to control YEELIGHT bulbs

It would be great if there was a plugin to control the brightness/colour temp/hue etc. for yeelight products.

MQTT already does it no ? If you mean a plug in who does the same but only for Yeelight i don't see the usage.

Can definitely see the benefit in a Yeelight-specific plugin, Akanie! I use Philips Hue directly, for example, even though I could group them via Home Assistant.

In the meantime though it does indeed look like this is also possible with Home Assistant and the MQTT plugin from @Theo.

Hi,
I didn't really know what MQTT is....
Or I would have tried it out.

I'm new to the whole home automation thing and from my limited understanding, it requires a server like a raspberry pi to run it.

I just have a few bulbs that I use with google nest or google home app so I thought it would be convenient to control them with a knob.
I put in the request for a plugin as I could control the bulbs without having to set up a server.
I'll try wrapping my head around the mqtt/home assistant thing in the meantime.

HitFrostbite I don't use Home Assistant, but aye I think you do need some sort of home server around that you can install an MQTT server on.
